WHITE WATER DESIGN
Defining the Kitchen.
Elevating the Home.
Kitchen renovations are typically undertaken once every 15 to 20 years. The decisions made during that process shape not only the appearance of the home, but how it functions, entertains, and endures.
At White Water Design, kitchen cabinetry is approached with architectural intention. Every proportion, alignment, and detail is considered within the context of the home as a whole in every kitchen cabinet design.
Because the kitchen is not simply another room.
It is the defining space.

Design Guided by Insight
Exceptional kitchens are not assembled, they are composed.
Before every kitchen cabinet design plan is finalized, we evaluate:
- Cooking habits and appliance integration
- Entertaining frequency and seating requirements
- Storage expectations and organizational needs
- Traffic flow and spatial proportion
- Investment parameters and long-term value
Our experience allows us to ask the right questions early, ensuring clarity before construction begins.
Cabinetry Composition
Structure, Proportion, and Performance
Kitchen cabinetry is not designed in parts, it is composed as a complete architectural system.
Base and upper cabinetry must work together in scale, proportion, and alignment. Drawer configurations, concealed storage, ceiling heights, glass detailing, and molding transitions all influence how the kitchen functions and how it reads visually.
We consider:
- Storage hierarchy and accessibility
- Vertical alignment and ceiling integration
- Appliance placement and paneling
- Decorative accents and architectural transitions
- Balance between open and concealed elements
When cabinetry is thoughtfully composed, the room feels ordered and intentional.
Function supports form.
Form enhances function.
And the kitchen achieves a sense of quiet permanence.
The Island
The Architectural Anchor
In many kitchens, the island becomes the compositional centerpiece.
Its size, symmetry, material contrast, and functional purpose must be deliberate. Whether designed for preparation, seating, or statement presence, the island anchors the room and sets the rhythm of movement within it.
At White Water Design, the island is never incidental. It is resolved with intention.

White Water Design is based in Wall Township and primarily serves homeowners throughout Monmouth and Ocean Counties, including communities along the New Jersey Shore. We also work in surrounding counties across Central New Jersey.
Do you come to my home for the initial consultation?
Yes. Our process begins with an in-home consultation. This allows us to evaluate the space, understand how it’s used, and provide thoughtful design guidance tailored to your home and lifestyle.
How does your design process work?
After the initial consultation, we guide you through layout planning, cabinet options, budgeting considerations, and project timing. Every detail is reviewed and refined before moving into scheduling and installation.
Do you handle installation?
Yes. We coordinate and oversee cabinet delivery and installation to ensure proper fit, finish, and timing—so your cabinetry integrates seamlessly with the rest of your renovation.
When should I contact you during the renovation?
The earlier, the better. Bringing White Water Design into the planning stage allows us to align cabinet design with your renovation timeline and avoid costly or stressful delays.
Are you a general contractor?
Yes and no. About half the time, we collaborate with a homeowner’s existing general contractor, working closely to ensure cabinetry design aligns seamlessly with the renovation timeline and overall vision. In other cases, we play an active role in guiding homeowners toward trusted, highly respected contractors whose craftsmanship, professionalism, and energy align with our standards—helping create a smooth and cohesive project experience.
